NBD Tomorrow! Fender Deluxe J MIM any opinions?

Ive got one coming from a trade deal, anybody have experience of this model? Are they any good? Preamp decent? Slim neck at nut?

It doesn't arrive till tomorrow, but heres a pic of it

I've got the MIM P Bass Special. J neck, P body and active electronics. Well put together, nice slim neck. Pre seems fine - good tonal range and clean sounding. Should be a decent instrument.

Hope it`s good, as I`ve also got one pending in a trade. I had the US version a few years back, probably - no make that definitely - the most versatile bass I`ve ever had. Could do a good passable version of Stingray/Precision, and of course Jazz.
