FlatEric Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Oooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Just when I have made a pledge to downsize! Rare over here. Very nice indeed! Good luck.
Badass Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 What sort of preamp does it have? Active filters or active bass and treble?
Bluepigbass Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 Badass, they are kind of filters open close neutral, called character switches, they take you from John Entwistle late 70s 80s to Stanley Clarke Mark King. The knobs are volume and tone for each pickup. There still information on the web on the circuits. Stu FlatEric, it is clear that your wonderful collection is entirely incomplete without this bass Stu Isabass, I currently lack the means to weigh the bass, but its medium weight, not heavy or light, I will get it weighed and get back to you Stu
mikhay77 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I have a sofa like that! Hold on a minute, thats my house lol. Seriously its a great bass ,I seem to remember it weighing around 9 1/2 lbs. Wish I had the cash,I would have bought it back. Mk2 Kawai f2b 3d bridge and different switch arrangemnet too. Best finish on these also. GLWS
Guitar-restaurant Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Hi mikhay - what about my tubes? Have you send them yet? its been few months.
Bluepigbass Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 Hi Mikhay, hope you don't mind my using your pics? In two minds about selling, want a Status Streamline, have too many basses, so I have put a few up for sale, some on here, one on ACG Facebook page and one in my mates shop. Its a case of what sells first. Do like this bass. Hope things good with you. Stu

Blub Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Great! This was my first Bass when I started playing. If only the exchange rate GBP/EUR would be better.
Bluepigbass Posted August 29, 2015 Author Posted August 29, 2015 Yes those with direct experience of alembic say they are a close representation, I think the name F11b is derived from an alembic preamp F2b, but this is just what I am told by those more knowledgable than I . I do love the sound of the bass ca easily get the John Entwistle alembic sound and a great slap funk tone.
