philparker
Has anyone repaired the flimsy wire on a Fishman Full Circle? I've got an intermittent signal and a flimsy wire going into the Full Circle, but I note that one of the flat circular sides has 4 precision (micro) screws holding it on. So can I remove that, shorten the wire by about 1 cm and resolder, perhaps adding a bit of heat shrink for additional support? philparker
Ok, I've answered my own question, with a little help from a work colleague, more specialised than me at micro soldering. It was the shielding wire that had broken (as opposed to the core), which was quite tricky to sort out rather than the soldering itself, but it is now repaired and working again - all for the price of a couple of packets of chocolate biscuits!
