Qlank Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 And not one Flying V! Love your collection dude. Those Aria SB's are lovely looking. Quote
visog Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Makes my gassing look positively conservative! Great collection and commentary. I like how your interest extends from the exotic custom to the everyday basses many more of us have enjoyed... Quote
dmccombe7 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Its like looking at my life in bass. Fantastic collection Nick. Brought back so many memories. All good too. I remember all of them thru the years. Had quite a few of them too. Fender Precision, Jazz, Ibanez, Aria, WAL, Shergold, Yamaha, Overwater, Warwick, Peavey, Jaydee, Columbus, Epiphone, ESP Remember wanting a Pangbourne Warrior when they first appeared but decided on a WAL instead. doctor_of_the_bass Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 Cheers Dave! The collection really is the sum total of my bass playing career thus far.....many of them were my dream basses as a kid as I started playing in 1982 at the age of 11 and of course, growing up in the 80s with a paper round meant money was tight (still is as a pro bassist!!) - however, I suppose the collection really started in around '87 as I had a Saturday job in the local Music Village shop and I had the pick of all the used stuff that used to come in, so I would work for nothing for months and put that credit into a bass!!!
