[size=5]I have finally joined a band,doing originals,[/size]

[size=5]and after so many years of being away from bands I forgot how good it feels,[/size]

[size=5]but isnt it funny how in the same week I got another two offers,one doing blues[/size]
[size=5] and the other doing rock covers,both quite tasty bands,[/size]
[size=5]but the chance of putting my mark on the music was the thing that clinched for me[/size]
[size=5]also the drummer and I got on a hoot as well as played well together in such a short time[/size]
[size=5]so onwards and upwards[/size]

Unless the originals band is extemely busy why not do both that and a covers band for the variety?

I'm similar to yourself as only got back into playing in bands few yrs back and have ended up in an originals band where everything just seems right and we all get on really well and the music (Prog) is what i've always wanted to do.

I wouldn't mind being in a band. Haven't done for years.

Unfortunately I have no transport, nor an amp, and I'm not even sure my bass is up to the job!

I've never understood the one band only thing either.

I think you did the right thing with choosing the originals band though. You can pretty much guarantee that the blues band will be playing ZZ Top, yaaaaaaaawwwwn , and the rock covers band will just be an excuse for an over-loud guitarist to do what over-loud guitarists usually do, and lets face it, does the world really need another rock covers band ?
