bassmayhem
I did a trade with a nice guy and got this beauty: Tom Clement in Florida built this bass, the very first "Anne" model specially ordered by the previous owner. It is a hand made single cut bass with bolt-on neck. The body is one huge piece of swamp ash "heavily" chambered, topped with cedar. The neck is mahogany and bubinga with an ebony fingerboard. The body is some 3" thick, so it is a big bodied bass, but due to the chambers it is very, very light. The long bottom horn makes it a dream to play sitting, it hangs nicely and well balanced in a strap too. The electronics are a passive Bartolini humbucker and a Ghost piezo bridge (buffered) into a Stellartone Tonestyler. There has been a Roöland GK-3B and a ramp mounted on it, hence the extra holes. The tone is best described as: "a mix between Anthony Jackson's tone and P-bass with a nylon stringed acoustic guitar an octave lower mixed in". Puh! Not the average meat and potato bass, but a nice addition to the arsenal of spicy dishes... Edited July 28, 2015 by bassmayhem

Musashimonkey
Yep, solid craftsmanship. Much higher quality than the price point would suggest, a true master luthier.
