Ajoten Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 My cheap jazz guitar has cheap humbuckers and I'm thinking of getting some cheap Warman P90 alikes to hopefully get more clarity. But I've remembered I have a cheap hot rails single coil sized pickup in the house. If I got a mounting ring adapter for it and put it in the bridge position, would it be any brighter? Or just another lame humbucker? Yes yes buy a Tele etc etc...
Ancient Mariner Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 It will probably be brighter, but may not give you more clarity since it's likely to be quite mid-rich and maybe honkey. Wilkinson make some good budget P90s, and you could also try Guitarfetish.com.
