bubinga5
this is just so good. so much space in the music for fills. but i love George's lack of fills in this record. sometimes its not what you play that is special. and Joseph's drumming. ! Happy Jack
Saw The Metermen (three quarters of the original band) in Philadelphia two years ago, and they've still got it, oh yes. On the other hand, saw the George Porter band play at The Borderline in London last year and left before the end of the gig. Go figure ... Roland Rock
Funnily enough I was just jamming along to this last night. Great feel, and I love the little fast bit after the second chorus. And the key change. And the drumming. Everything basically
bubinga5
there are so many nuances Roland. yes the drumming.!!! you couldn't not stick with the drummer and leave him all alone. hold it back and sit with him. yorks5stringer
A favourite of mine, here's another by them: http:\\www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma8ABYwo1Ew&index=4&list=PLL__puWsATNz8EjGA25nHQEOb87n2bu5J Apparently Lowell George played on this track, you can hear his slide low in the mix. Maybe someone can embed this? Edited August 1, 2015 by yorks5stringer

leroydiamond
This kind of funk just lifts me to a happier place, gets my toes tapping and makes me want to dance. All good
ezbass
Another track with members of the Meters and Lowell George, this time joined by Simon Philips on drums and, of course, the wonderful and much missed Robert Palmer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsLz2pvO5N0
