King Tut
Absolutely loving my new Sandberg VT and really impressed with the pre . . . . Particularly the ability to go passive and retain tone control if I wish. Does anyone know if the preamp is available from anywhere as a separate unit so I could mod one of my Jazz basses to the same spec?
JapanAxe
Mine has the Glockenklang 2-band pre-amp - see here. £71.12 from Thomann. They also stock the other variants e.g. 3-band and stacked. Edited August 3, 2015 by JapanAxe

Ghost_Bass
Sandberg branded preamps are basicly Glock preamps rebranded. May not have the exact same components but i had a Cali VM with Sand pre and at the same time also had a Glock preamp for another bass and compared both, couldn't see any diferences. Ghost_Bass
If you want passive tone control don't order a stacked knob. Passive tone is only available on non-stacked models.
King Tut
Cheers Ghost Bass. Ordered the non stacked and gonna have an extra hole routed for the jack. Gonna get a seafood green nitro refinish inc headstock while I'm at it :-)
