Hey Bubinga5, do you know what defines something as Neo Soul and for that matter what is Acid Jazz?
Unfortunately I can't see many video's on bass chat so I can't see this one.

Neo Soul incorporates other genres, such as hip hop/funk/groove. not your typical Anita Baker/Marvin Gaye. i think that what sets it apart.

the term, was made up name by a guy called Kedar Massenburg. its just another shade of soul, and a progression i guess. but actually means the below.

i find the genres get more and more blurred everyday. like the meaning of the dictionary term Neo " Combining Forms".

Acid Jazz is just Pop Jazz Funk.
