skychaserhigh
Class D amps do that. It's probably running at or near full volume despite the volume knob being only halfway up. When they get too hot they can cut out for safety.
Chaos Daveo
Fair play,so just the heat playing a factor ?
skychaserhigh
The heat of the amp yes.
gsgbass
Maybe a heat limiter that kicks in to protect the amp, and cuts off the amp if it's overheating.
MoonBassAlpha
Check the fan is working properly - if it's a bit clagged up it won't cool as efficiently
Guest bassman7755
If you bought the amp 2nd hand check that the fan has not been disconnected - some people do this because the fan in the shuttles can be quite noisy. mcnach
Sorry if I'm missing something.., You say it did not cut out, but it came close to cutting out. How do you know? Or did I misunderstood?
