Panamonte
Er, yes it is. Made to order - presumably as a travel bass. Um.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22-5-scale-Headless-Fretless-Bass-Luthier-Guitar-/121724055685?hash=item1c5751b085

Bassassin
That's cool, whatever it is! Not sure it's worth £150+ though, by his own admission the pickup's crap, and the neck (hopefully just a result of the camera angle) looks alarmingly twisted. And why's it strung with guitar strings? Jon.
BigRedX
That's cool, whatever it is! Jon.
Probably because he couldn't get any bass strings to make it sound good. The scale length is 22.5" which is shorter than most guitars. Even my Fernandes Pie-Zo travel bass has a longer scale length!

Annoying Twit
I would guess that those steel on silk strings mentioned in a thread on uke basses would give a reasonable tension tuned to EADG, as the uke bass they were on had a similar scale length. Personally I do think it's interesting, but don't want to buy it myself. EDIT: Pyramid copper wound strings on a silk core, which are reported to work on a kala u-bass.
