cheddatom Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Wouldn't it be cool if Dr Das was on BC! He put some great basslines on ADF songs and really seemed to drive the whole band with his playing. Are you here? Quote
odub Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Ah I remember seeing ADF at the hop and grape in manchester, I was right next to the speaker stack and I think that bass might have done some serious damage to my internal organs. Worth it though. Quote
wotnwhy Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 first saw Asian Dub Foundation at WOMAD in 2003(?), and again last year. fan-bl0ody-tastic sound, and very entertaining to watch! Quote
crez5150 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I saw them support Doves at RAH.... they were quite good from what I remember Quote
cheddatom Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 They were amazing with deeder (SP?) as the frontman/rapper. It's a shame he left. Quote
wotnwhy Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 did he/has he? when? have they continued making albums without him? Quote
cheddatom Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 Yeh they've have a few different vocalists since then, he left ages ago! Quote
wotnwhy Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 hmmm. you'll have to fill me in on all this then and was he around in 2003? Quote
thisnameistaken Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 (edited) I think Deeder only did the first two or three albums, then decided to pack music in and go do human rights work. Shame, although I feel a bit guilty saying that . His solo stuff isn't too hot either. I mean it's alright, but it's not ADF quality. Edit: No he definitely wasn't around in 2003, I think he left in 2000. Edited September 2, 2008 by thisnameistaken Quote
SJA Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I think the guitarist's brother Martin has taken over on bass now- I played a couple of gigs with him in my mid-90's covers band days. Quote

alexclaber Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 He laid it down on Rafi's Revenge. Bad. Alex Quote
