It's all over the place, but IIRC the main riff is in 7/8, then it moves to 5/4 for the F#-E section and then 4/4 for the guitar solo.

Oh yeah. It's in 7. I always thought it a shame that Gilmour didn't play a solo over the 7 bit. Cop out!

Any bass player worth his/her salt should know "Pagan Lovesong" by the Virgin Prunes and of course the great "Der Mussolini" by Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft.
How else could you play the 80s?

Higher, Jackie Wilson, in D

Gimme Some Lovin, Spencer Davis Group, in G

You Really got me, The Kinks, in G

Sexual Healing, Marvin Gaye, in Eb

Sunshine Of Your Love, Cream, in D

Originally Walters and Gilmour said it was in 7/8.
Then some years later, Gilmour said it was 7/4.

They might have thought 7/8 sounded more proggy and impressive. :D
Yeah, I just play it (as I do most things) if I thought about it live, I'd drop the ball horribly.
