rungles Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) So I've decided to take the plunge and get myself a brand new Status. My Gran left me a little bit of money when she died last year and this (for me) will be the perfect way to spend it. S2 Classic 4 string with wrap-around LEDs. So this will be 'Sarah' - oh and as an added bonus, Mark King just picked the LED color for me as I couldn't choose Edited August 13, 2015 by rungles Quote
BassBus Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Perfect memorial to your Gran. You will never be disappointed with a Status. Quote
M-Bass-M Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Lovely stuff, great choice of bass, and as BassBus said, a fine tribute to your Gran. Headed or headless? Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Great story, great bass ! Quote
gazhowe Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) That looks fantastic, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Edited August 17, 2015 by gazhowe Quote

matski Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Good stuff! My grandad left me a bit of cash when he passed away - as a result I bought my Music Man Cutlass and will never part with it. Quote

[/quote] Good man! I was in a similar position with mine, but in the end the headless is definitely the way to go - a lot more iconic, and certainly gets you noticed on stage! Quote

The headless system is just so logical. In the time it takes to change one string on a F****r you have all the strings changed and tuned on a headless Status. Quote
rungles Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 Done deal then - headless it is! Thanks guys Quote

tauzero Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 You won't smack it into the low ceiling as often, and your singer will thank you when you don't ram the headstock into his/her ear. Note - if you're married to the singer, that's even more of an issue. Quote
