So I've decided to take the plunge and get myself a brand new Status. My Gran left me a little bit of money when she died last year and this (for me) will be the perfect way to spend it. S2 Classic 4 string with wrap-around LEDs.

So this will be 'Sarah' - oh and as an added bonus, Mark King just picked the LED color for me as I couldn't choose B)

Lovely stuff, great choice of bass, and as BassBus said, a fine tribute to your Gran.

Headed or headless?

I've been back and forth on this one but have decided on headless. I think.

Good stuff! My grandad left me a bit of cash when he passed away - as a result I bought my Music Man Cutlass and will never part with it.

Good man! I was in a similar position with mine, but in the end the headless is definitely the way to go - a lot more iconic, and certainly gets you noticed on stage!

Quite right son, yer not wrong. The headless system is just so logical. In the time it takes to change one string on a F****r you have all the strings changed and tuned on a headless Status.

Done deal then - headless it is! Thanks guys B)

Good choice, headed Status basses are nice, but the headless ones are iconic :)

You won't smack it into the low ceiling as often, and your singer will thank you when you don't ram the headstock into his/her ear.

Note - if you're married to the singer, that's even more of an issue.
