knee rest and extension frame, Fishman Full Circle pickup, Evah Pirazzi solo strings – with everything included priced up at at lowest online prices it comes to £2487 total value.

Good luck with this. I have had one of these for about a year now and never go back to my acoustic bass. They have a really great sound, as close to an acoustic instrument as you can get without feedback and no need for a preamp. Easy on your back and fingers. I have tried a few of the better electric basses, and believe that this one wins hands down. Traditional neck and heel and a delight to play. I use it on stage and for recording. My DB is now gathering dust. This should be snapped up quickly. I never elaborated on the built-in pickup system as it sounds great. Maybe I should try a Shadow. All the best with selling it.

Hi.
The Yamaha is a really great bass. I think it is the best of the non traditional basses and hope you sell it soon. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what is the advantage of the full circle pickup over the on board device? I have a Yamaha and wondered if I could get an improvement.

Hi Kedo

No problem - I fitted the Full Circle as I wasn't impressed with the on board pickup and found it to be an improvement, quite a few other SLB owners have done the same although there was recently someone on here who tried it and thought the on board pick up was better, so I guess it depends what you're looking for sound-wise !

There should be some info and possibly sound clips if you do a search here or online, I think it gives a much more natural "acoustic" sound over the built in one.

Thanks,

Phil

Thanks Phil. I'll look at the clips and maybe fit one. I've seen Dave Swift use a third party pickup, so he must think it's worth it. I like the look of the Full Circle as it doesn't need any adjustments to the wing slot in the bridge. I take it you disconnect the existing pickup by removing the battery.

Thanks again for your help

Hi Phil

I am an interested buyer for the package at 1850 if you still have it

I live in Brighton but work in London. Where would I need to come to to pick it up?

Best wishes, Angela

Happy to discuss on the phone 07702 150434

Hi Angela

It's in north London, I can have it in either N7 during the day, or N22 weekends & evening - are either of these ok for you to come and try it ?

Phil

Hi There

N7 daytime is best...but only if the location is close enough to a tube station and the entire rig is easily transportable on the tube. Its probably best to sort details on the phone (per previous post...text is best). If location is ok I could pick up Wednesday 16th (tomorrow) @17.30/18.00 or Monday (21st) morning @09.00/09.30 Thursday 20th @09.00/09.30 might also work.
I expect you would prefer cash. Not sure if I can get enough cash together for wednesday or thursday but I can always do some cash and balance by Paypal transfer onsite or a card payment if you have a machine

Hi Angela, the N7 address is about 5 mins walk from a tube station, is this ok for you ? I don't have a card machine so it will have to be cash payment in full on pickup or transfer/PayPal in advance.

Do you want to try it first ?

Thanks,

Phil
