*SOLD* Stunning Fender MIM 70's RI Jazz black/black, rosewood/pearl blocks, ashtrays £350

I bought this on eBay a few weeks back for the neck, which - as I love the combination of rosewood and pearl blocks - I was going to use for a P/J project I'm putting together. It's a lovely lovely neck indeed, showing very little playwear on either the playing surfaces or the frets, withonly one serious dink on the underside of the headstock that can be seen in the pic of the back of the headstock. However, I've decided to go for a custom Warmoth Precision width neck so I've put this bass back together, given it a damn good clean up (3 hours worth), oiled the board, replaced some slightly relic'd pickguard screws and added the ashtrays. It's moderate weight at just over 9lbs, plays very nicely and the PUPs/circuit are a match for most MIA/MIJ Fenders I've played, in fact they're a whole lot punchier than many. The bass has been gigged and the body has numerous minor dinks and donks, but for the money it's a damn good bass and a real eye-turner. There's a bit of rust around the bridge and the pole-pieces but nothing serious and it looks a bit more serious in the pics than in the flesh (final photo).

For £350 this is a bargain instrument. Reviews of these models are generally very positive, and they are a clear step up from the standard MIM offering. I have to say that it does actually feel like a '70s instrument to play - I guess that could be taken as both a good and a bad thing, but it's meant in the former context here.

Trade wise I'm looking for PA gear and amplification -especially for guitar or DB - at present. I definitely do NOT need any more bass guitars
