Graham Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 On a Facebook group yesterday I spotted, an L2500 for sale, I've wanted to pick up a five string for a while, but had planned to wait until bonus season next year to get one. This G&L was remarkably similar to my L2000, but obviously with one extra string. I used to play fives exclusively, but haven't played one regularly for about 8 years, but given how similar this was to my four string, it seemed a safe bet; so my bass went up for sale. A couple of messages later, Paul, who's Kolossusuk on here, arranged a trade and he left my place this morning with the L2000, leaving the L2500 with me. And.......I can't put it down, so looking forward to gigging it next weekend [Img]http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y175/Ghost_Upon_The_Stage/Mobile%20Uploads/20150815_120152_zpsriytudle.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> [Img]http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y175/Ghost_Upon_The_Stage/Mobile%20Uploads/20150815_120158_zpspwv0jkrl.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> Quote
Machines Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I saw both of your posts, nice trade (I had an L-2000 like your 4 string). Quote
jassbass Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I have exactly the same 5er,great value basses alot better than the value of them Quote
Graham Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Cheers guys, it's a beauty. Kids are in bed, wife's in the bath, so I can plug it in now; Uptown Funk is surprisingly much easier to play on a 5 than a drop D 4 Quote
cocco Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Beautiful bass. I got an L2000 for Christmas and shortly after got introduced to five strings. I am coveting a 2500 at the moment Quote
