stephaniet17
Hi guys, My band is finally in place, we're making the progress we want to and everyone is clicking well. The problem: we have no name. A couple have been thrown around and the singer has written countless lists of ideas that just...aren't quite right. I need ideas from people who are fresh, funky and not too emotionally involved! Our sound is a mixture of gritty southern rock, funk and soul and I'd love the name to reflect that. Just struggling for ideas! Any help HUGELY appreciated Peace out.

redbandit599
Got a river near you? If so just stick it's name in place of the X in "The X River Rapids" or Rusty Truck Rapids sounds cool to me.
YeastieB
When I think of southern rock/soul I think about Muscle Shoals. Not sure that hasn't been already used or punters would connect with?

Dan Dare
Get a dictionary, open it random and choose the first word you see. Then do the same again a couple of times and perm them. Might get something good, or perhaps not... Edited August 22, 2015 by Dan Dare

Old Man Riva
Mississippi Johnny & the Swamp Crawl Deluxe You can be Johnny and the rest of the gang can be the SCDs. Edited to say: Just heard MJ & the SCDs have split... now known as JJ Martell & the Dirty Gumbo Band (not to be confused with JJ Hunsecker & the Sidney Falco Express)..
