Purely for sale as I have just retired from gigging. This is the best amp I have ever owned, period. Everything on it works just perfectly. The moment I bought this one my amp search ended.

- solid state and valve preamps (mixable)

- 12 ban graphic EQ

- dual band compressor (very, very useable)

- Effects loop

- XLR out

- 280 Watts out into 4 ohm load and about 180 W into an 8 ohm load.

- In hardly used short Gator rack case.

- Weighs 12.5 kg in the case on my bathroom scales. An easy one hand lift.

Make no mistake, this amp easily has the clout of any 500W micro amp. Superb tonal adjustment available. Valve preamp really adds "thickness" (not overdrive).

Ive just sold an SMX250, these are brilliant amps. And this 300 watter in a shallow rack, the ideal solution. GLWTS.

Got to give a BUMP for this head!

Having just heard it in action, all I can say is that someone should buy this head quickly..

It sounds absolutely brilliant and - in the condition it's in, plus the Gator case - its a total bargain!!

It was connected to a 4 ohm Genz 212 when I heard it yesterday, so 'yes' is the answer..

As Nik states, it is designed for any load down to 4 ohms, at which it will gives it's maximum power. I have been using it for some time with my 4 ohm Genx NX2 cab. Loud and awesome !

Bump for another SMX bargain. With this case it will be the lightest possible version.

Jack to speak on connectors are readily available, I have a couple from when I used to play mine with Barefaced cabs. Awesome
