PaulBass1 Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) early version of the OLP 5 string, purchased this around 2002, as I wanted a really punchy low mid sound that would cut through when using bass bins , did its job brilliantly, as you can see from the colour of the fingerboard it has done a lot of gigs, but stood up pretty well still sounds great, though most people would probably prefer some new strings on it as I think these were still the originals it came with It has a couple of small dings which I have shown in the pics, and I sanded off the varnish very carefully years ago as I preferred the natural look plays great, with a nice low action Great cheap 5, string with narrow string spacing pick up only from Derby, not looking for any trades Thanks Edited September 10, 2015 by PaulBass1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PaulBass1 Posted September 10, 2015 Author Share Posted September 10, 2015 Cheers Jonnyboy, also great skinny neck if you've got smaller hands,I forgot to mention that bit, low mid punch is still its best feature though, particularly with my old strings, do sound good with brighter strings on too as some of my students got later models on my recommendation, and I was a bit jealous of that nice bubbly zingy sound they had.
