20/4/17: SOLD pending payment, thanks.

11/2/16: Now £325 (not £400 as above)

Great sounding, affordable 100W of all valve sound. Sounds great, works great, recently serviced so all in tip top condition.

Built by Subthumper of this parish, more details here and in post #6 below

Loud and relatively light for an all valve head. Output 4ohm or 8ohm. No trades please.

Based in Glasgow, for collection or to post at buyer's expense.

I'm reminded by Mr Foxen, whom I got this from, that the amp was built by Subthumper who is also a BCer and that there are some inside photos here: https://ampstack.wordpress.com/2014/07/12/seeger-bassman-clone-handbuilt-in-bristol-uk/

Thank you, always nice to hear others opinions. I built it as a bit of an experiment using the transformers and chassis from a peavey deuce guitar amp and the supplied kit parts from Torres of the thunder bass. It's pretty much a bassman with the addition of the mid shift control. In fact the pre amp is exactly the same as the mesa bass 400. I ended up doing another amp, a copy of a Hiwatt DR201, which blew away everything I've ever owned amp wise so the 120 had to go.
Glad you've enjoyed it.
Cheers Just

It is very solid Amo.

I don't have any individual sound clips, but you can hear it in action here:

It's not ideal (mobile phone footage from a pub), but it might be helpful. If there's anything particular you'd like me to record then I could - though again it would just be on a phone, I don't have a home recording set up any more, sadly.

Great, thanks JohnR - make sure you come up and introduce yourself. I think our next outing is The Scotia on 19 June at 6pm, then Bar Gumbo on Byres Rd on 25 June. Do introduce yourself, it would be great to say hello. More here: https://www.facebook.com/The-Barrelhouse-Band-1552065205012099/
