seashell
Les Negresses Vertes (eponymous album). The single Zobi la Mouche was never the hit that it should have been. The album is great - I was playing it tonight for the first time in ages, and it sounds really fresh considering it came out late eighties. Bilbo
My unrecognised masterpiece is 'Vimana' by a band called Nova that featured a guitar, sax/flute, keyboard trio plus Percy Jones on bass, Narada Michael Walden on drums and Phil Collins on percussion. Great writing, great playing.
Cato
They've just announced they're calling it a day, but Funeral for a Friend - Hours was a great album. Emo mainly passed me by but I saw them live about 10 years ago, bought the album & ended up loving it. Its somewhere between hair rock Bon Jovi & early Manic Street Preachers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX-kf3s_6DQ
HowieBass
The Comsat Angels - Waiting for a Miracle... great debut album and the bass is beautifully prominent.
JoeEvans
Can's 'Future Days' is one of my favourite albums ever. I love Holger Czukay's bass playing.
