goonieman Posted September 4, 2015 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Hi All, I need ideas on a small cab for practice at home, that could theoretically be used for low-level gigs. Either 1x12, 2x10 or 2x8 I am aiming to use it with a GK MB150 head, or an MB500. The TC RS112 seems the best fit: small, tidy, and elegant. relatively lightweight as well. I can play through a Berg 112 at home and I used to put the 210 on top for gigs. The 112 sounded better at home than many of the practice amps I've heard. tauzero Posted September 4, 2015 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I had a TC RS112 for a while - good little cab, could put out a fair volume and sounded good if a little lacking in bottom end for my taste (using a 5-string but not generally below bottom D). I did find it balanced oddly on the handle - taking the handle off and reversing it so the bar was closer to the speaker (IIRC) balanced it up much better.
