mexican 50s p bass or greco p bass

going to pull the trigger on a vintage style bass, i can get an old Greco P bass(1980) or a recent Mexican 50s p bass, what would be best?

For collectability (though it's still a limited market) the Greco.
For playing and ease of upgrading or replacing parts in the future, the Mex.

Having owned both I would go with the Mexican 50's bass but, every bass is different the Greco may be the best one they ever made the 50's could be a dodgy one that you don't take to, if you can try both before you decide that will give you best guidance

fantastic bass, that Classic 50 series Precision. That would be my choice without hesitation.

If the Greco is with Mark at Classic and Cool then you can buy with confidence as he is an excellent guy to deal with. He will have other stuff you can try too.
