rjb
Cheers for the ideas folks! I'm leaning towards a Markbass Cmd 102p as it contains a Little Mark head and can be extended if needed. Thanks-
KevB
+1 for the older TE combos, built to last and surprisingly compact enclosures. Find an old 7215 with the extension speaker option, lots of versatility. One here but it is overpriced; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trace-Elliot-GP7SM-3...id=p3286.c0.m14 Should be able to pick one up for £100 less than that. xgsjx
cmd102p is a good choice. Can add an extra cab for large gigs with no pa support if needed. I looked at tonnes of combos & amp/cabs before getting mine & feel I made the right choice.
bass_ferret
On the basis that Markbass amps appear to be a lot more popular than Markbass cabs, make sure you try before you buy.
WalMan
I'll say +1 for the MarkBass 121H and don't do the GK150. I have the former and I love it. It is great for small pubs & backed up by the PA in larger gigs, in fact in the smaller pubs I often have trouble controlling it, the only way being to wind all the tone controls down!! Had a GK MB150 years ago in my young & foolish youth and had to run it into a slave & extra cabs for gigs. Definitely not loud enough on its own.
