Bass ID Help

I am looking at a Rosetta Bass 8. I cant find anything on the web , any ideas

Have you looked through the [url=http://www.fetishguitars.com]Fetish Guitars [/url] and [url=http://cheesyguitars.com]Cheesy Guitars[/url] websites.

Rosetta is most likely the importers brand name (BTW are you sure it's not ROSETTI - the photos are so small it's virtually impossible to make any details out) so you might find something very similar with a different brand name on the headstock.

BRX is right, it is a Rosetti logo, big distributors for many years.

If it was a Bass 7, I'd say avoid it like the plague. As it's a Bass 8, it might not be as appallingly bad.

And this Egmond history might give some info... Egmond and Rosetti instruments were big in the 60s before "proper" American instruments hadn't really made it to the UK in any numbers...
