Good for you for doing it, and for putting it out there. It's way above my standard, for sure.

I find it a bit cluttered to listen to, personally, but that may be more to do with choice of genre.

Hope this helps :)

Thats a very nice sound you got there and nice melody. Well done! This is the style I wish to play, bass instrumentals (once I get out of my bass nappies). May I ask what amp and fx (if any) you are using? Also which pickup do you use and how do you treat your EQs? Thanks!

Canny and easy. If I was to be honest I'd say your string/finger noise needs work as it detracts from the melody. A little is nice because it sounds organic, but you don't want it to dominate.

Apart from that, crack on :)

Cheers for the feedback guys, i appreciate it :) . I recorded it with both pickups and tone controls on full and there's no amp, direct recording with reverb and compression, try the FET electric bass preset on the logic compressor, it's really good

Hey - not too bad at all; I agree with comment on string noise, and a little too rubato here and there imho - but otherwise lovely playing overall.

On another note --- I checked your other Sound cloud stuff. .. Is Sun & Air an original composition? It's lovely and i can't find it anywhere else. Bill Evans-esque and sublime. .

Sun and air and son and heir are tom haines compositions, he was my teacher at college and we recorded them while there, he went on to win a few jazz composition prizes and I think is doing pretty well now, i'm not sure if he recorded those tunes again though so it may be the only version
