Hooch
This one's a steal. Selling my late 80s japanese Greco tbird replica, one sought-after bass due to its pickups, which nicely nail the vintage tbirds tone, and to its comfy conception, with a near C shaped neck and a slightly under 34-inch scale. Vintage tbird tone with a better balance and an easier playing for bass players accustomed to Fender basses. Overall condition is good, some nicks here and there, especially on body's angles. Coat is worn at some point near the neck pickup, just like the crazes of a plectrum, even if the location seems a bit strange for a bass. These models have one weakness : the glue applied between the fingerboard and the neck at that time went away under the first frets of many of them, which is the case on this one. The bass was probably played a few years not being repaired, and the fingerboard started to craze – through the thickness only, it's not visible on the board. Everything is now repaired by my luthier, who did a nice setup too. He explained to me too that the repair'd be invisible with some coat on the side of the neck. This neck, which is a maple set-neck, is straight, nice low action too, frets (medium jumbo ones) are in good shape. It's comfy, think of a C shaped neck on a Rickenbacker. The weight of the bass is pretty decent : 4,2 kg / 9 lbs and 4 ozs. Balance is great, which is not so common on tbirds : the strap-pin was re-located near the heel of the mahogany body. 3 attempts were done (not by me, holes are filled), but the last one was the good one. No neck-dive at all. As for the sound, it really nails the vintage tbirds tone. Huge lows, gnarly mids and highs which aren't buried. You don't buy a tbird for its highs but on these models, well, they're decent. Hot output from the pickups, dead-silent electronics, this bass rocks, and sit nicely in a mix requiring that kind of thicky tones. Price is a nice [s]370[/s] 350 GBP, shipping at buyer's expense – from Paris where i live to a European country, it's something like 40 GBP. A steal. Hooch
The case you can see below the bass fits a fender, not a tbird, but there's a tbird-shaped gig-bag included.

Hooch
Thanks ! And it's a very sweet deal now: 350 pounds, shipping (around 40 pounds, maybe less) at buyer's expense. I always provide strong parcels, no worry. Edited September 12, 2015 by Hooch
