Jimryan Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Afternoon all, Recently I posted a wanted ad for a dead pedal to make a decoration for at home. Well, my ad was answered and this morning I collected the dead Digitech bass synth wah from my house and it's been my little tinkering project for the last half an hour. For now, the rings are only held on with the copper braid from the patch lead I cut up. During the week I'm going to experiment with melting the plastic core to the rings to make some sturdier key-rings. All that's left to do now is find somewhere indoors to mount it and it's good to go. TimR Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Neat idea. I'd be tempted to use straight jacks and drill through the jacket for the rings. They'd be more comfortable in your pocket and the keys would still hang down. Quote
Merton Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Cool, mind if I pinch the pedal idea? Quote

Not sure if the two things are related, but don't want to risk clicking on it again! Quote
Roger2611 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Is this possibly the best possible use for a Digitech Bass Synth Wah pedal ? Quote

Jimryan Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 One of the guys at work has a pillar drill and has taken two angle jacks and is going to drill through the sleeves for me. I'll hopefully get them back tomorrow or the day after and I'll report back. Quote
Wonky2 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 For any fettlers out there, I saw a genuis product the other day called plastimake. It's on ebay for about 5 quid a bag. It's a bag of plazzy polymer , you put some in boiling water for 5 mins then scoop it out, mould it into any thing you like, then set it by putting it in cold water....... The possibilities are endless in terms of craft, bodge repair....... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nMAd4FpXpy4 Watch the link....... LET THE BODGING BEGIN !!!!! Quote
pfretrock Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 PMT Birmingham (and I guess other branches too) have a PC mouse on the sales counter made from an old pedal. Might have a go myself. Great idea btw, always putting keys down in the wrong place. But does it drain the battery if left in too long? Quote
