TheDaivisch Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 If I test the pots in a wired control plate, with standard parallel Jazz Bass wiring, would each pot read at half the Ohms as if they werent wired in that circuit? The reason I ask is that Ive just tested some and they're coming out at around 120k ohms, so I'm assuming they're 250K pots? Dave Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Grangur Posted September 21, 2015 Share Posted September 21, 2015 Measurements like this are not always the same as the wiring on your bass may not necessarily be standard. Assuming that you are measuring across the 2 outermost terminals, the way to be sure of this is to remove the connections to one of those terminals, and to be completely sure, from the centre terminal as well. Without doing this there's always a good chance that you're measuring the resistance of another part of the circuit as well. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
