Resistance - pots in a standard Jazz circuit

If I test the pots in a wired control plate, with standard parallel Jazz Bass wiring, would each pot read at half the Ohms as if they werent wired in that circuit? The reason I ask is that Ive just tested some and they're coming out at around 120k ohms, so I'm assuming they're 250K pots?

Measurements like this are not always the same as the wiring on your bass may not necessarily be standard.

Assuming that you are measuring across the 2 outermost terminals, the way to be sure of this is to remove the connections to one of those terminals, and to be completely sure, from the centre terminal as well. Without doing this there's always a good chance that you're measuring the resistance of another part of the circuit as well.
