Roland Rock
We've all seen people building up songs with loopers, but this chap Mike Love does it in a very creative way. Good stuff up to 4:20 then it gets very good indeed: http://youtu.be/fU7hZ3smj0g Edited September 21, 2015 by Roland Rock
Raslee
That's awesome 😎
planer
I didn't think I'd watch it all, but found it enthralling. Good work!
ambient
Loopers are amazing things. So many buy them and then just use them in predictable ways though.
FuNkShUi
That was brilliant. Cheers for posting
colgraff
Why does the drummer have a microphone in his ear?
Roland Rock
Why does the drummer have a microphone in his ear?
Yeah, that's quite a luxury - normally we just jam an XLR up the drummer's arse
toneknob
Jealous because I can't operate pedals in my bare feet. Otherwise, technically brilliant tech-wise but I can't bear it to listen to. Also it's funny when that grungey boho look is matched with hundreds of pounds worth of gear. (Personally I only use that much equipment when wearing my Tom Ford suit of course). Bilbo
The single problem I have with loopers is a deal breaker. It all operates on the basis of repetition, endless repetition of two or three chords, repeated rhythms etc. This guy has really worked hard on a creative use of the tools he has but, if what you look for is interesting harmony, it's not going to work. Hats off to him, though. It's noble stuff.
Lw.
Some pretty good ideas, especially the vocal bit but once again it's the looping that is holding a lot of the song back IMO - it would be 10x better if he just got a full band to play the music.
