That is not in dispute. The fact remains they can remove whatever they want, whenever they want, from their site. They are not obliged to give a reason.

Even if you proved the point in court, that it was not in breach of their rules, they'd still not have to publish your advert on their site.
Yes - I'm afraid eBay are a law unto themselves, this is probably why John Hall gets so frustrated with them and uses the little guy - in this case yours truly - to make an example of and flex his comparitively weak corporate muscle! Having had a fair bit of communication with both Ric and eBay about this matter I now realise I'm in a no win situation. The fact remains however that John Hall did contact me personally to explain his point of view whereas eBay suspended me and sent an automated response.

It's a damn shame it's come to that, completely overboard.
Given the right cash & right bass coming up at the same time; my ambition is to get a Rockinbetter black Rick copy, put a bigger, black scratchplate on it with two Jaydee b/w zebra-striped pups on it. Four white chicken-heads for the knobs and change the "Ro" on the TRC to "Fu" to read "F*ckinbetter". Then post it on John Hall's beloved RickResource.

P'shopped for now, but a few dabs of black & white paint should do the real thing.

Maybe putting "needs service" in an auction listing without saying what the problems are is not a good idea.

That's decent. Saw the same mark in the control route on a CMI one I used to own which was quality. Not sure what factory it was though.

There's a couple on at the moment, I was similarly surprised that the Ibanez lasted, wonder why Mr Hall finds the John Birch so threatening eh? :)

Because
That's taking the piss out of Ash's John Birch. I can only think it's because Ash's is a better build quality than a real Rick And John Hall knows it.
You got a linky to that thread? I've been a member over there for about ten years but I stopped posting because the sheer level of RIC sycophancy (especially when JH posts) made me sick. A couple of the posters are decent (Ilan springs to mind), but if you dared challenge any established point of view on the bass threads, the shutters come down.

Fraid not, it was a few years ago, it might come up with a search for "John Birch". IIRC it was in a fakers thread.
Maybe they deleted it for revealing secrets?? :)

Page 5, my post is under "Mad Dog Cole" about half way down - and then the Ricks are great & all else is crap begins. Loved how it ended from a poster with a quick insult before the mod endorsed the insult then locked it.

It's incredible its like they've been brainwashed or cloned to a unified doctrine of stupidity - they don't seem to have any understanding of your hypothesis.....

Hi all.

Thought you might like to see the headless Retrovibe RV4 I had made with the final batch. There are a couple of issues in that the bridge tuners don't have comfortable clearance over the tail of the body and the nut/retainer needs some re-jigging but other than that it's pretty much spot on. I should also mention that I only had the one made for personal use. Sorry!

The writing in the rout says "Cherry Kendo". Or similar, the characters for "Kendo" are partially obscured and not well written. In Japanese characters, though the language is English.

That forum is the only one I ever saw where the users are anoraks of their chosen brand. There's plenty of Fender, MM & Gibson users on here & other forums who REALLY know their stuff & can be, and are, well respected for it. But that crowd are just pathetic, one guy really went into overdrive about John Birch on one thread, to the point I thought he was a spoilt kid in the vein of Beavis & Butthead, but his profile was that of a guy in his 50's.

The fretboard looks very dark. Surely it wouldn't be ebony.
