karlfer Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Sold mine for £185 a year or so back, think RicS Fine sold his for about £250. Could reach £600 for somebody who has more money than sense, and does no research. Tonally very limited.

Pricey.

What I can't figure out is why the seller has done a really bad photoshop job on the edges in the second picture.

karlfer Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 (edited) It's an absolute beauty, it's on here, the Bay and Gumtree. Lovely maple board , you don't get that with the originals. Mr Hall has already had this one pulled 3 times and sent a snotty email to the Lobster. Edited April 7, 2012 by karlfer

Beedster Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 What's happened to the price of the genuine article? They seem to be going down whilst fakers seem to be selling at pretty robust prices? Mr Hall's efforts perhaps backfiring on him?

There is a bit of distrust coming into it as well I think, been more than one "genuine" of late that has been questionable. I keep looking at a black with black scratchplate from Urmston(Manchester) it's been up 3 times I've seen, with BIN of £1100 and it ain't going. Pretty sure it's completely cosher as well. Bloody spelling again! Edited April 8, 2012 by karlfer
Mr. Foxen Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Turns out they can pull rickenfaker auctions even if you've already won them, and suggest you contact the seller if you've already paid, which you can't because the listing is gone and there is no contact button any more. Have to go via paypal email, which bypasses all the ebay 'security'.

Pulling an auction is one thing, but withdrawing all support and protection once the auction is over is another thing altogether.
