Bassassin Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Bloody incredible. So much for the recession / credit crunch, and this seems to be quite usual at the moment, people are spunking insane amounts of money on old 70s copies, not just RickenFakers, regardless of whether or not they're complete rubbish. Seriously if anyone's got one of these they want rid of & think they can get one through without it getting pulled - now's the time to go for it. I'm looking at my Kasuga & Matsumoku Fakers now & thinking I could raise enough for a real one & have enough change to live on Indian takeaways for a week. Just as well that's not the point, isn't it? J.

Happy Jack Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 I was going to say how much I liked the dangly things below the tuners. Took me ages to realise they were the wardrobe handles. So tell me Phil, what's that on the trussrod cover?

[/quote] the TRC is a clear perspex sheet, under which you can put any printed logo you see fit....it currently MAY read the logo of a popular bass manufacturer, but I'm not at liberty to disclose which brand that is. this bass was not, and will never have been created in any factury other than the Giannini manufacturing plant and other areas of construction or finishing. Phil holds no liability of the aforementioned bass guitar holding a resemblence implied of otherwise, to any such manufacturer whos products may be of similar build shape.

Happy Jack Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Am I missing something here? The main point of this custom build seems to be that it's headless. There are four photos available ... in every one of them the head is cropped from the photo. Doh!
SJA Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 maybe he's lying, and there's actually a massive Buzzard-style headstock lurking at the end of the neck.
