Brilliant! I also like:
This Guitar is not a cheap copy
No, no - it's a really f@cking outrageously overpriced copy!

Does anyone else think these are a bit dodgy? They are plainly budget Chinese knockoffs, not dissimilar to the very reasonably priced & generally nicely spec'd Retrovibe/ProBass range, and the whole "exclusive Italian luthier" bit looks just a made-up gyppo sales spiel in this context.

I think this still counts, it is - or rather was - one of those grotesque little Taiwanese Kay things. It got what it deserved:

The seller says it needs a miracle. It does.

The miracle of fire.

you're dreaming if you think you can get a ricky bass for £600. Anyone who knows their stuff wouldn't sell one that cheap. New ones go for £1800 and the waiting list is a year. You can find old ones but not for £600. Pleasant dreams!

Jeez, I saw that earlier today on evilbay and had to do a double-take on it cos the front pup looks out of alignment with the 'guard/body. That hurt my eyes, that did!

Here's a proper one at last:

Suffering from a bit of neck/body delamination leading to an acutely high action, a bit of clamping & gluing will help a little.

Not sure what this is - I think it's possibly one of the MIJ ones that very occasionally turn up badged as Fresher, or it's a Brazilian-made Giannini.

Well it's a 70s through-neck that's been tricked out with a load of Rickenbacker hardware, there's no particular reason to think it's a Shaftesbury, or from 1976 because there's no way of IDing or dating it.

I suspect he wants the money he spent on Rick bits back, hence the ridiculous price which he absolutely won't get.

The bolt-neck Oli posted is a Matsumoku, really needs a good clean-up and most of the hardware from the "Shaftesbury"!

Is that an electrical cable, or a fuse?

Wasn't there a DiMarzio like that?

I've seen Schaller and Bill Lawrence pickups like that...

I think I can answer that! It's from a Eko. I have a Eko B02 short scale bass with one of these. It sounds fantastic.

I subsequently had a bass build, by Brandoni, using a NOS Eko fretless neck, an unspecified (guitar?) body and two of these pickups. Strangely, they both sound the same - despite being spaced quite far apart.
