He knocked the price down a couple of times & will probably do the same this time around - it's cheapo parts-box bolt-neck Chinese crap with a bullsh!t-powered description, so he'll likely still be in profit when it reaches £200. They really only bear the most superficial resemblance to a Rick - apart from the body shape everything else is a generic modern neck-through bass. Still quite nice though, mine's presently in bits awaiting having the back/neck refinished - I played one gig with it & half the thin black paint on the back just rubbed off! J. Bassassin
Definitely a strong stylistic influence going on there - I do like the red quilty one. There's a Schecter as well with a similar close-but-legal look, can't remember what it's called though. J.
Annoying Twit
The photo of the "modern one" doesn't do it for me. Which I find strange as I really liked the "Wesley" posted here some moons ago, and Jon's photos of his in-progress one. Perhaps it's the camera angle or photo that makes it look different to me. If I can be even more disagreeable, the Cort doesn't do it for me either. I don't mind the Rick-ish Crafter, in fact think it looks nice. But the Cort, not quite. They come up occasionally. Here's one that sold recently, and went for £202 + p&p. I think I remember some selling for cheaper, maybe £160 or so.
