MK's a genius - people will realise one day.

My Dad used to work with his Dad. MK's Dad used to moan about his lazy Son doing nowt but playing the guitar.

And MK's ex-missus used to teach me drama, who what he wrote Tunnel of Love about, which must be one of my favorite DS songs. There's a big Hollywood film (forget the title) that uses the song. Always makes me smile to hear 'from Cullercoats to Whitley Bay'

Reverse psychology blues...

Everything... Everything's gonna be alright this morning.

Any pair of lines taken more or less at random from Billericay Dickie.

e.g.

She took me to the cleaners, and uvver misdemeanours,
but I got right up between, her rump and her ribena...

Yup, but the fact that I woke up this morning is the ultimate in good news as far as I'm concerned. :D

I think you'll find it's "Her rum and her ribena" after the popular ladies drink of the era, rum and blackcurrant.

When I was young I'd listen to the radio waiting for my favourite songs
When they played I'd sing along, it made me smile

Dawn of light lying between a silence and sold sources,
Chased amid fusions of wonder
In moments hardly seen forgotten,
Coloured in pastures of chance
Dancing leaves cast spells of
Challenge,
Amused but real in thought,
We fled from the sea whole.
Dawn of thought transferred through moments of days undersearching
Earth
Revelaing corridors of time, provoking memories,
Disjointed but with purpose,
Craving penetrations offer links with the self-instructors sharp
And tender love
As we took to the air, a picture of distance.
Dawn of our power we amuse redescending as fast as misused
Expression,
As only to teach love as to reveal passion chasing
Late into corners,
And we danced from the ocean.
Dawn of love sent within us colours of awakening among the many
Won't to follow,
Only tunes of a different age.
As the links span our endless caresses for the freedom of life
Everlasting.

Some great openings already... Here are a few more of mine...

Now that I've met you, would you object to never seeing each other again? Aimee Mann, Deathly

Why must you record my phone calls? Are you planning a bootleg LP? The Specials, Gangsters

When I passed you in the doorway, you took me with a glance. I should've took the last bus home but I asked you for a dance. Thin Lizzy, Dancing In the Moonlight

Fergus sings the blues. In bars of twelve or less. Deacon Blue

I turn my back to the wind. To catch my breath before I start off again. Rush, Time Stand Still. I understand that the first line of the chorus is rather good too... :)
