Something to do with the higher quality of finish required... I asked about it a while back as I was looking to have a jazz built.

I have to say that Mr Moorhouse was very helpful to my Wife, she dealt with him to get me a Rhythm Stick bass before they were generally launched as a Christmas present last year, he sorted the order and helped her out with all the small details, and I must say that I use Lizzy bass as a backup and that is a nice machine, but the quality of the Rhythm stick is superb, you would easily pay £1000 or more from Fender for maybe comparable quality, they are that good.

Nice to here that you are getting what you want from your bass, I am sure it will be very sweet for the money.

Good to know about the possibility of tailoring the spec of a Bass collection, I would certainly be interested in that

Also I like the bass collection logo with the thumbs.
