Silvia Bluejay
This talk by Stu Hamm is taking place on Thursday 1st October and there are only a few places left due to last-minute cancellations - it's by invitation, so if you're interested, you'll need to email Bass Gear to be put on the list. I'll be there with my recording equipment, as always http://bassgearlimited.cmail20.com/t/ViewEmail/r/FD65A36EC85026A32540EF23F30FEDED/1D349F499F5A242444D0DD5392A9C75A Hope to see some of you there! Born 2B Mild
Stu has 30 people enthralled as I write. They must be, they're not moving out to the free bar!

Silvia Bluejay
Another cracker of a talk cum mini-masterclass by the great Stu, and a lot of GAS looking around Bass Gear. Just one pic for now - our Born2BMild (Phil) with Stu. More pics to follow when I've had the time to sort them Edited October 1, 2015 by bluejay
Happy Jack
Outstanding presentation. I came away determined to try some techniques I've never previously been interested by. First time I've seen this guy in action, he's a natural entertainer and a really nice guy.
Silvia Bluejay
Happy Jack tells Stu Hamm what he's been doing wrong all these years, and Billy Apple approves.
Billy Apple
What a great evening! Thanks to Stu for putting on a great show. The man has great skill, good stories and amazing chops, plus he's a consummate professional patiently dealing with us geeks :-) Many thanks for the superb hospitality from Bass Gear. Free beer! How could they know?! The best Thursday evening in a long time.
Silvia Bluejay
I've uploaded a couple of songs Stu played at the masterclass (you may recognise one especially!), and some precious insights - and some banter - on his solo album. About the inspiration for his album: https://youtu.be/tsy26AXlqGI Song: https://youtu.be/u9EhHgGzBag Song: https://youtu.be/A1Q0UHt6QMM
72deluxe
Thanks for these, very much enjoyed them. Thanks for taking the time to film them and upload them. That Warwick sounds surprisingly good; I had preconceptions that it was a Warwickized Washburn given its styling. I know Stu has always had a certain tone but that sounded really great. Thanks! Stu's great - he is always very entertaining. His Washburn presentation on YouTube is really great too. Really great playing, always interesting seeing him with Satriani and him saying that he performs basically rhythm guitar parts on bass (his solo spot was always jaw-dropping). The only one where he was untethered somewhat was Crystal Planet, where he puts in some interesting fills and runs. His Outbound song is incredibly hard to play - only one guy on YouTube has posted a video of himself playing it, which is either due to its difficulty, the harsh guitar sound on the original track, or because not enough people have heard it! Probably the first. Edited October 31, 2015 by 72deluxe

Silvia Bluejay
He's great, and it was a pleasure to take photos and videos of him in action. One of the pics is also in the current issue of Bass Guitar Magazine. Edited November 1, 2015 by bluejay
