Pukie
I am not quite sure of their concept of the word "best" though. oh, and their list of essential guitar accessories is pick, strap, amp, Tuner , capo and metronome ... no need for a lead then. 4-string-thing
Clearly written by a guitarist who thinks he knows about bass.... Having said that, I own an Ibanez GSR like number 7 (in black, so louder) and it really is a great bass for the money. I should now have no trouble selling it... tauzero
Between four and six strings? Obviously doesn't get out enough. And as for "Just like you need a special electric guitar to play metal, you need a special bass to play in a metal band." - no you don't. It's a bass. It sounds like a bass. A bass in a metal band sounds like a bass. Oh, and "If you want to go even further, you might want to consider Warwick, Spector or Lakland. These are American brands that are not as popular as the ones listed above" - has anybody told Warwick that they've moved continents? ribbetingfrog
I played a Dean metalman a couple of years ago. Wouldn't even be my number 8 git to vomit on. Truly awful.

LayDownThaFunk
Why is this thread even in existence? 13 year old school boys who play guitar making a best bass list and BC acting like it's a serious list. Move along.
