The New Bond Film Theme

...and IMO, best summed up as 'meh'.
I spent the whole song waiting for the crescendo that never happened. Very, very dull.
Predictably, Evans raved about it so much you'd think it was the greatest songwriting epic since Bo Rhap.[/font][/size]

I got as far as when he went all silly falsetto and had to leave the room but in truth I think I was already bored of it before then. Intro was alright up until the vocals kick in.

according to radio 4 this morning, this is the first theme performed by a male artist in 30 years. I guess they don't count casino royale and quantum of solace as real james bonds then. this new one is sh*te.

I liked Chris Cornell's Remember My Name for Casino Royale.

Yes, that was a good one. I also liked the instrumental theme from OHMSS -- some damned fine music on that film's soundtrack.

The song might work for a love story themed film but it doesn't suggest the kind of drama, tension and excitement that I'd expect to see in a Bond film.
