Spike Vincent Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 For those that remember, just over a year ago Death tapped me on the shoulder and persuaded my bowels to try and kill me. Well, I am now surgically repaired and have just started playing again. It will be a long while before I've regained the stamina to play properly, but I'm back..... Quote
Dad3353 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 [sharedmedia=core:attachments:167485] Well, that's certainly the sort of good news we like to see posted..! Good to hear you're playing again, too; make the most of it, as time rolls on, even when you've been put right. Stamina..? Don't know the meaning of the word, myself. Jealous..? Yes, sirree..! Enjoy every day, and for a very long time to come. Quote
Spike Vincent Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 Time does indeed roll on...I've effectively missed a year of my life, but I'm alive and the whole experience has left me a lot more positive. Quote

chris_b Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I didn't see this story first time, so very very good news Spike. We've just found out a good friend of ours has bowel cancer with secondaries in his liver and has been given till Christmas. As in Spikes case, bowel cancer can be fixed if you catch it early. People get yourselves tested. Quote
bassace Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Yes, welcome back. Be patient, I've found that it takes a lot longer to get over it than you would expect. But it does come good. Quote
Mykesbass Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015
You've missed a year, nothing new to report on here...a few have left and a few have joined. Welcome back!
Yep, Flea is still better than Mark King, 10s sound the same as 12s, 15s and 18s, and we still don't know which bass is best for metal. Meanwhile, this man ^ has created a monster thread which may take you the next year to get through!! Welcome back, and great to hear your good news! Quote
