bassplayer76
Ken Smith BT4 dated 1990 with teardrop case. The case is not in great condition, but the bass is in excellent condition apart from some minor 'cracking' in the finish. The neck is beautiful to play, intonation perfect all the way up. It can be very bright with lots of attack (good for slapping and tapping if you're into that) but also has loads of deep bass- very versatile. Only issue is that when you pull the volume pot to put it into passive mode the knob comes off - but as long as you slot it back in and leave it in active mode it functions perfectly OK and stays in place during normal use. When I bought it I was told that it was all original apart from the jack socket which was replaced with one purchased from Ken Smith, but some of the control plate screws are clearly not original. Selling because I use my KS 6 string mostly now. Based in SW London and would prefer pick up. bassplayer76
This is a brilliant bass, one of the early ones. Great neck, a variety of sounds, growl if you want it, precision like punch. Records beautifully. You are welcome to try in sw london.
