ChunkyMunky Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 This'll be an interesting one but I need to clear funds for it, so I'll be happy to see what people will say on it. I originally intended for this to be a fretless and installed Bartolinis in them. They'll be included! Originally, this was bought whilst I was out in the US and had my ex-girlfriend write on the back of it. Naturally, that fell apart and I decided to try and get rid of the writing. The slight problem is that I took the lacquer off of the back of it by accident. There's a significant amount of dings on this (not to mention the gouge on the front) but with a good setup and some other modifications you may want to add to it, this could be a wonderful project. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. It's also missing an intonation screw and has some fret buzz. I'm sure someone who's tech-minded can sort this one out. Thanks for reading, everyone.
ChunkyMunky Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Trades are also welcome. I'm looking for a practice amp or some strings, pedals or something.
Grangur Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 The pups are almost worth the asking price alone! Someone please stop this man!

Bassassin Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Phew. Saved me from doing something rash there. I've had nagging SR GAS since selling my matched pair of MIJ SR800s, fretted & fretless, a few years back. This looks suspiciously like an MIJ SR800... Jon.
Mykesbass Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015
Sorry to hijack the thread, Mykesbass. I did my post on an impulse and only just realised what I did!
Hey, no worries at all. Grangur has been very helpful on my thread so nice to know he has picked up a bargain, and you've got your sale - win all round. That's how a community should operate.
Grangur Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Well, if someone else wants it then grab it. I was thinking of having the pups out of it. It feels wrong somehow. So here's a bump for a great bass opportunity.
Grangur Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Sorry, CM for pulling out of having this bass but I'm sure someone else will want it really soon.
Grangur Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015
Pmmmmmmed
Hey! Is this a new project coming up?
Stance Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Hello, is this a MIJ SR? Thank you Cheers Alex

Grangur Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Have a bump for a seller who may have forgotten, or got fed up bumping, or maybe it's sold? Who knows?
Grangur Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I'm always surprised when I see stuff in the marketplace where the guy selling doesn't "Watch" the thread. Not surprising when the thread just sits there forever is it?
tall_martin Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 He said he has changed his mind and doesn't want to sell. I would have loved it Martin
