gjones
Who does this guy think he's kidding? Nice bass but worth £250 max. And I don't even think the body is original. Because the silver series basses used to have a grounding strip from the bridge to the bridge pickup like the original 62s. Those machine heads look suspiciously new too. After all, this is supposed to be a 20 something year old bass http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SQUIER-by-FENDER-Silver-Series-Jazz-Bass-USA-Accessories-CUSTOM-COLOUR-VGC-/262077066206?hash=item3d0502abde
Bassassin
By legend the Fullerton equipment was shipped to Japan along with several technicians to set up Fender's Japanese operation. As the equipment, and many of the technicians, had been at Fullerton for the 25 years from 1968 to 1993 the instruments produced were nicknamed 'Silver Series' and this was eventually officially adopted for the initial range produced.
Seriously? This is some parallel universe he inhabits where "Fender's Japanese operation" was set up in 1993? Words fail me etc. Jon.
Paul S
I like the bit where he starts 'by legend', followed by the fairy story. Maybe it is some form of disclaimer?
Happy Jack
Surely you mean "vintage bollocks"?
cameltoe
He's wound it down quite a bit from his last description, and taken the price down! It was up for £750!! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/265898-nice-description-what-a-load-of-old-tosh/page__fromsearch__1
