Hardwood Dowel

Can someone recommend me a source of hardwood dowel approximately 12-13mm in diameter? I need about 4" in total to plug some holes in the body of a bass I'm renovating. The rest of the bass is a light-coloured wood (ash? maple?) although it's going to be sprayed a solid colour when I'm done as the existing wood isn't too pretty, so colour matching isn't that important.

They also do walnut dowel for dark woods. Fast postage if I recall correctly.

On reflection, it seems that ramin may not be the most ethical choice, but having said that we've only got wikipedia's word for it.

Nice and cheap too, and even better I notice that there's a model shop in town that stocks their products so I might not even have to pay postage.
