Kendo
Hi people, I am looking for the bass rift to peggy lee's FEVER. does any one have or can write it down for me?? BTW I am also looking for a good jazz book that will have the common , interesting bass rifts. Any suggestions thanks Kendo
Oscar South
its just a minor arpeggio then a chromatic (or harmonic minor, whichever way you look at it) note one semitone below the root at the end of the phrase. Shift key up one semitone N amount of times and you're done, easiest song ever. I think it starts in Bm but it might be Am or Cm or something, I know we play it in a diff key to the original but its not too hard to work out which is right. Or the Sax player fills every gap, THATS A RIFT!.... Edited September 7, 2008 by lowdown
bassace
I played this behind a singer recently, on DB. Be carefull, it seems simple but each bass break is subtlly different. Best to listen to Peggy's recording and it'll all make sense. Kendo, I have a bass part in Am. If you would like to PM me your address I'll put it on the copier and send it to you.
