Maybe a Jazz problem

I think there could be something wrong with my Jazz, when it's plugged in it sounds fine then periodicly loses all tone.

Where is the first place to look?

Loose connection somwhere? Bare wire that comes in contact with something it oughtn't touch?

Diagnosis depends a bit on what you mean with "loses all tone". Does it go silent, or is it to do with the tone circuit?

Hmmm one of my volume pots pulls out and it isn't suppose to I'll change when I get a chance see if that does the trick
