discreet Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 A very novel way of sorting buzz on the 'A' string... I wouldn't, though. Quote
stevebasshead Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Eh? What's holding the A string in place? The tension should have it popped out from under the tree... Quote

darren Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I thought he'd / she'd wrapped it around once, clockwise. Quote

Paul S Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) String break on Fender headstock A string is not good and they can pop out of the nut. Happened to me with a bass some while back and, taking advice from here, it is easily cured by winding the string right the way down the shaft. Seems rather clumsy to do what he has done when all you need to do it unwind then rewind the string. Edited October 15, 2015 by Paul S Quote
Norris Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 That looks like a P-Bass Special, in which case it's fabulous value for money (depending how much they are asking for it of course). I dropped a SDQP PJ set in mine and it's a cracking bass Quote
spectoremg Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Can't see a string groove holding at that tension. As previously suggested it looks like it's been wrapped around. Quote

yorks5stringer Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Must be a bit congested under the right hand groove.....? Quote
cybertect Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015
Surely this affects tuning?....
I'd think it would make it difficult to get right Quote
